What Vestro is
Vestro helps you understand a portfolio you already own, in plain English: how your money is spread across your holdings, sectors and cash; which holdings make up the largest share; how your reported values have moved; and a short written summary of what those figures show.
Where the promises live
Everything Vestro promises about itself — what it is not, who can use it, how the analysis works, and what we cannot promise about investing — is in our Terms of Use. Sections 2 and 3 are the ones to read.
This page is not a second set of terms. It is the short list of things the app itself does not do, so the limits are visible while you are looking at your portfolio.
If you are unsure about an investment decision, section 3 of the Terms says what we suggest you do next.
What Vestro is not
- Vestro is not licensed or registered by the Financial Markets Authority. Vestro is not a financial advice provider and does not hold a financial advice provider licence.
- Vestro is not a broker or a trading platform. We cannot buy, sell, hold or transfer anything for you, we cannot place orders, and we cannot move money in or out of your brokerage account.
- Vestro does not hold your money or your investments. We never hold client money or client property, and we have no ability to move funds.
- Vestro is not a tax, legal or accounting service. We do not prepare tax returns, or give tax, legal or accounting advice.
- Vestro is not a substitute for your own judgement. What you do with your money is your decision, and it is a decision you make outside Vestro.
What Vestro does not do
- Vestro only looks at the portfolio information you give it. We ask you to connect only the investment accounts you want explained, and the analysis is built from those. Vestro does not ask you for a bank account, it does not look at anything else you own, and it does not read your email.
- Vestro does not ask for your brokerage password, and never receives it. When you connect an account, the sign-in happens with your broker, or on the connection service's own screen — we use Akahu, a New Zealand open-finance provider — and never inside Vestro.
- Vestro's written summaries and Vestro Intelligence's answers are produced by software. The short summary in your report, and the answer to a question you ask Vestro Intelligence, are generated automatically from your figures and general information, then shown to you. No person who knows your situation writes them, and they are not financial advice.
Vestro does not import by email
- There is no email forwarding address. Vestro does not import portfolio information from emails, so please do not forward brokerage emails anywhere expecting Vestro to receive them.
If something here looks wrong
Email [email protected] if any of this is unclear, or if you think it describes something Vestro does not actually do. We would rather correct this page than have you rely on a version of it that is out of date.
